Undergraduate Commencement takes place over two days.

University Commencement

The University Commencement will take place on Friday, May 11 from 4:00-5:30 p.m. in Warren McGuirk Alumni Stadium.

CNS Senior Celebration

Picture of Commencement Medal. The College of Natural Sciences Senior Celebration will be held on Saturday, May 12 from 5:00-6:30 p.m. in the Mullins Center. This ceremony will allow the college to recognize graduates in a special way: graduates' names will be announced as they cross the stage to shake hands with college leaders, and receive a Commemorative UMass Medal (pictured here) and a special farewell gift from the college. Two jumbo video screens will broadcast each graduate’s time on stage, which will also be captured by a professional photographer.

Please plan on attending both ceremonies.

Faculty information for May 12

Faculty attending the Senior Celebration should meet in the Green Room in the Mullins Center at 4:00 pm. You will need to return rented regalia to the Green Room after the ceremony.

Stockbridge School Commencement

The Stockbridge School Commencement will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2012 from 10:00—11:30 a.m in Bowker Auditorium, within Stockbridge Hall.

Caps and Gowns

Caps, gowns, and tassels (the cost of which has already been paid by your student fees) and an accompanying packet of four Commencement announcements/invitations may be picked up at the Campus Center room 178, Monday through Thursday, May 7 - 10, 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. On Friday, May 11, 9:00 a.m. to noon, caps ands gowns may be picked up at the Campus Center Room 178. On Commencement Day, May 11, caps and gowns may be obtained after 2:00 p.m. at the student ticket booth on the west side of McGuirk Alumni Stadium. Students who are not on campus may request to have their cap and gown shipped by visiting Oakhalli . Shipping will be by FedEx and the destination must be a street address. The cost is $15.00 for regular delivery and $25.00 for next day delivery. A student ID number is required to confirm eligibility.
